FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

3.6 million pounds of cargo delivered to Port Westward

CLACKAMAS, Ore. — December 01, 2005 — By land and sea Emmert International successfully completes the delivery of over 3.6 million pounds of over dimensional cargo to the Port Westward Power Project near Clatskanie, Oregon.

Contracted by Deltak, a global leader in the supply of custom designed Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) equipment, Emmert International safely completed the delivery of the structural and boiler components to the Port Westward Power Project. Located in the remote and rugged foothills of the Coast Range, 60 miles northwest of Portland, Oregon, on the Columbia River, when completed the Combined Cycle Port Westward Power Project will provide power to thousands of local customers.

56 structural casing, duct, and stack sections, with a total weight of over 1.7 million pounds, were delivered via highway from the Port of Longview, Washington. Working with Redmond Heavy Haul of Portland, Oregon, the casings, ducts, and stack sections were transported over the mountainous terrain without incident.

The boiler section of the HRSG consists of 12 modules that range in size up to 76 feet long and 417,661 pounds, with 1.9 million pounds total weight delivered. Because of the size and weight of the modules combined with the remote location, Emmert International devised and successfully executed a transportation plan that used two ocean barges to deliver the cargo from the Port of Longview, Washington to the project site approximately 15 miles away. At site, Emmert International employed the use of our barge ramp system to build a temporary bridge from the barge to the project site. Working with Foss Maritime and Brusco Tug and Barge, the barges were secured and the cargo rolled onto site using Emmert International?s self propelled and tongue-pulled platform trailer system.

Working with the Supplier, Owner and Subcontractors, Emmert International?s logistical and transportation team developed and successfully implemented a transportation plan that delivered the cargos on time and without incident.
